Local Government Personality of the Year

Awarded to the most effective female politician in a devolved assembly who has done much to positively raise the standing of their assembly both internally and with the public.

Devolved Parliament or Assembly Member of the Year

Awarded to the most effective female politician in a devolved Parliament or Assembly who has done much to positively raise the standing of their devolved Parliament or Assembly both internally and with the public.

Leader of the Year

This category is open to any woman in the civil service or wider public sector from first line management roles up to and including senior civil service (or equivalent) positions and aims to recognise operational and motivational leadership in everyday practice and delivery.

International Public Servant of the Year

Awarded to the most effective woman working in the public sector who has demonstrated real achievement internationally in the last year.

Peer of the Year

To be awarded to the most effective woman in the House of Lords who has made an outstanding parliamentary achievement during the year and who has done much to positively raise the standing of politics both inside the house and with the public.

Public Affairs Achiever of the Year

Awarded to the most influential woman in public affairs that parliamentarians recognise as having made an outstanding contribution within government affairs in the past year.

Voluntary Sector Achiever of the Year

Awarded to the most influential woman working in the voluntary sector that parliamentarians identify as having made an outstanding contribution within the voluntary sector during the past year.

Business Woman of the Year

Awarded to the most influential business woman that parliamentarians identify as having made an outstanding contribution within the (public or private) business sector during the past year.

Political Journalist of the Year

Awarded to the most influential female political journalist identified as having an influence on the highlighting and understanding of political issues throughout the year.

Public Servant of the Year

Awarded to the most effective woman in the public sector at either a national, regional or local level who has demonstrated real achievement in their field of work in the last year.

MP of the Year

To be awarded to the most effective woman in the House of Commons who has shown outstanding parliamentary achievement during the year either as a minister or backbencher and who has done much to positively raise the standing of politics both inside the House and with the public.

Outstanding Achiever

This award is chosen by the judges and will be presented to the woman who has achieved her full potential within her chosen field, who has inspired others around her to do likewise and who has made an outstanding contribution to public life. Selected from the winners of each individual category, the recipient of this award is truly an outstanding individual.
