Awards Process

Nominating

Using the online form please state in no more than 350 words why the nominee is deserving of an award. Please use the judging guidelines (click here) to help you set out your nomination.

Any testimonials you wish to supply must be included within the 350 word nomination.

The deadline for nominations is Thursday, 20th December

Shortlisting process

The members of the judging panel will be asked to look at each entry and identify the women in each category who meet the judging criteria for their work in the chosen field within the past year (Since January 2007).

Judges will be asked to shortlist 3 entries for each category taking into account the judging guidelines provided, below. This shortlist will be published on this site and in the House Magazine on Monday, 21st January 2008.

Voting on the shortlist

The voting process will then move into Parliament. The shortlist will be made available to Parliamentarians who will be asked to vote on the shortlist, again basing their judgement on the guidelines provided below.

Voting closes on Friday, 1st February 2008.

The winners will then be announced at a special awards reception in London on the evening of Wednesday, 27th February 2008.

Judging Guidelines

The competition aims to identify the women in each category who have tangibly achieved success in their area of expertise or chosen field of work within the past year (since January 2007).

In all areas of the judging process, the judging panel and the Parliamentarian voters will be asked to pay particular attention to the following points:
